Five Design Patterns to Build More Resilient ApplicationS
To deal with uncertainty, you have to design your software to be resilient. This session will review the most useful patterns for building resilient applications such as graceful degradation, timeouts, exponential backoff, and circuit breakers.

It will also explore how we can test our assumptions by injecting failure into our applications and uncovering our weaknesses. You will leave with an understanding of how to build more resilient applications and several patterns that you can apply to your software development projects.

Deep Dive on Serverless Streaming Analytics with SQL
The Amazon Kinesis family of services allows you to work with fast-moving data using different components. In this session we will show you how to combine Amazon Kinesis Data Streams and Amazon Kinesis Data Analytics for scenarios like user sessionization, rolling metrics, or anomaly detection in real-time using just SQL and without having to worry about managing any servers.

Integration of Code Security Evaluation in AWS CodePipeline
The concept of Infrastructure as code, by using pipelines for continuous integration and delivery, is fundamental for the development of cloud infrastructure. Including code quality and vulnerability scans in the pipeline is essential for its security.

In this session, we will show you how you can integrate security checks in/out-band of the build process, on pull request, integrate with test reports, and use Security Hub for the report. We will provide you pros and cons on every approach and code sample sources.

Application Integration Patterns for Microservices
One of the implications of applying the microservices architectural style is that a lot of communication between components is done over the network. To achieve the promises of microservices, this communication needs to happen in a loosely coupled manner. In this session, we'll dive into the application integration patterns based on messaging and connect them to real-world use cases.

Automating CI/CD on AWS with GitHub Actions
If you are using GitHub as a source code repository, combining GitHub Actions with other CI/CD services (like AWS CodeBuild) is a simple and powerful way to deliver feature-rich CI/CD pipelines. In this session, we will develop an end-to-end CI/CD pipeline that can execute unit tests, build a container image, upload the container image to Amazon ECR and update an Amazon ECS Task Definition for every commit to the GitHub repository.

You will leave with an understanding of how to use GitHub actions to deploy applications to AWS and how additional integration with AWS CodeBuild unlocks additional capabilities.

Monitoring operational metrics with Amazon Timestream and Grafana
Dealing with operational data can be difficult due to the volume of ingestion, and the need to get real-time trends, while applying sensible lifecycle policies for data retention.

In this session we will show how using Amazom Timestream and the Amazon Managed Service for Grafana can help when working with operational data or with any other time-series data.
